HEREFORDSHIRE TOURISM COMPANY IN NATIONAL AWARDS FINALS. Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire could not be more thrilled to be shortlisted as finalists in the national Countryside Alliance Awards, known as the Rural Oscars.

The Awards are the Countryside Alliance’s annual celebration of British food & farming, enterprise and heritage through the nation’s small hard-working businesses. The awards are now in their fourteenth year and have become the definitive rural business award to win.They are set apart from other award schemes because they are driven by public nomination, offering customers the chance to say why their favourite businesses are worthy of national acclaim. The awards received over 17,000 nominations this year so Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire is extremely proud to be shortlisted in the category of Best Rural Enterprise.

Minx working with Japan

We were honoured to work with Team ESL (Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire) to welcome the return visit of Professor Shinji Aoki, Professor of Green Tourism for Tokyo University, to Herefordshire, along with a cohort of 11 Japanese government officials and tourism ambassadors to develop international visitor relations.

Also joining the party was Steven Harris, CEO of national rural accommodation organisation FarmStay UK, to further strengthen ESL’s national UK collaborations for Herefordshire.

Announcing the launch of our brilliant new half day ‘fast fix’ courses located at Hereford College of Arts starting this October. Offering superb value for money at only £55 each, these courses are aimed at small and micro businesses.

Marketing For Small and Micro Businesses will run on Friday 5 October 2018 and Friday 8 February 2019 and Networking and Presentation Skills will run on Friday 9 November 2018 and Friday 15 March 2019.

Minx Media exhibits at Hereford April 2017 Expo

Minx Media Ltd was delighted to exhibit alongside Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire  (ESL) at The Hereford Means Business Expo this week.

It was great to meet so many people from the local business community and to offer support to Herefordshire’s businesses in Marketing and Sales and Management skills.

ESL were giving away copies of the brand new 2017 Ultimate Herefordshire Guide much to the delight of recipients (don’t forget you can order you copies through our distributor here.) We are also ran a competition to win afternoon tea for 2 at Aylestone Court Hotel in Hereford. Winner to be announced soon.

ESL Social Media Course – Tips & Tricks

Minx Media Ltd is delighted to be supporting some new courses for 2017 in association with Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire. and aimed at Herefordshire Tourism Businesses.

There is a reduced rate for ESL Members but the courses are open to both members and non-members.

The first of these was held last week at Dunfield House in Kington. The staff at Dunfield treated us to refreshments including delicious homemade cake.

Herefordshire Rural Business Advice Day

Minx Media Ltd was delighted  to exhibit alongside Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire  (ESL) at this year’s Rural Business Advice Day, to offer support to Herefordshire’s businesses in Marketing, Sales and Management skills. A diverse cross-section of businesses were on hand offering everything from access to satellite broadband (a large concern in Herefordshire), estate management, insurance, legal advice and agricultural services, plus small business support from the FSB.

Team Minx chatted with business owners diversifying into the food & drink trade, tourism, activities and ploughing their furrow to develop growth strategies and direction.
