Minx Media Ltd was delighted to exhibit alongside Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire (ESL) at this year’s Rural Business Advice Day, to offer support to Herefordshire’s businesses in Marketing, Sales and Management skills. A diverse cross-section of businesses were on hand offering everything from access to satellite broadband (a large concern in Herefordshire), estate management, insurance, legal advice and agricultural services, plus small business support from the FSB.
Team Minx chatted with business owners diversifying into the food & drink trade, tourism, activities and ploughing their furrow to develop growth strategies and direction.
We identify with how tough it is to set up and maintain a business when you are both owner and operator, and considering the plunge into whether to take on staff, how to recruit the right ones, then how to lead your teams and giving some structure to your business practices.
Alongside ESL, Minx provides a completely rounded package of knowledge and training together with active promotion, especially for those involved in Food & Drink (producers and restaurants), Accommodation, Activities, Attractions, Events and Leisure.
Minx & ESL MD Heidi Chamberlain-Jones said “One of the most important things that we find business owners leave out of their business plans is a Marketing strategy and budget. Without a solid action plan that is consumer focused, you can have the best product, service or destination ever but it will be slow to get off the ground and maintain its position. Our biggest tip is, it’s the best marketed businesses that are the first choice for customers, and it’s definitely not just about advertising!”
