We were honoured to work with Team ESL (Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire) to welcome the return visit of Professor Shinji Aoki, Professor of Green Tourism for Tokyo University, to Herefordshire, along with a cohort of 11 Japanese government officials and tourism ambassadors to develop international visitor relations.
Also joining the party was Steven Harris, CEO of national rural accommodation organisation FarmStay UK, to further strengthen ESL’s national UK collaborations for Herefordshire.
The Professor’s visit researched sustainable green and rural tourism, and Herefordshire provides some of the best in Britain.
The group stayed at Award Winning Lowe Farm Bed & Breakfast in Pembridge and an itinerary was arranged around the county to further enhance the party’s understanding of rural sustainability. The bespoke tour included a visit to the historic Kentchurch Court, a specially prepared Lunch at Aylestone Court Hotel and a fascinating talk and tasting at Olivers Cider & Perry.
